Redness & Irritation
My skin looks red, feels irritated, or is more sensitive than usual.

Why This Happens
Some redness is normal when introducing active skincare, especially around breakouts or after using clay products. Active ingredients increase blood flow and cell turnover in the treatment area. However, widespread redness or persistent irritation may indicate your skin barrier needs support.
Normal — No Action Needed
- •Temporary redness around active breakouts being treated
- •Mild pinkness after using clay mask that fades within 30 minutes
- •Slight warmth in the treated area that resolves quickly
Warning — Take Action
- •Redness across entire face, not just treated areas
- •Irritation that persists for hours or into the next day
- •Accompanied by bumpy texture, swelling, or itching
- •Skin feels "raw" or stings when applying even gentle products
What to Do
Reduce frequency of active products to every other day or every third day
Add a soothing moisturizer (like Panthenol Water Gel or Ceramide products) to your routine
Skip clay products until redness resolves
Avoid hot water on your face — use lukewarm water only
Don't combine multiple active products in the same routine step
When to Stop and Seek Help
If redness is widespread, accompanied by swelling or hives, or doesn't improve within 48 hours of simplifying your routine, stop all active products. Use only a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Seek professional advice if it persists.
